Holiday Lettings have been one of the huge success stories of recent years, and with this growth has come an increase in discerning customers who demand high standards of comfort and cleanliness. One of our unique selling points is that all of our holiday homes are individually assessed to make sure they meet our high standards and set criteria before we agree to market a holiday home.

How do we assess a Holiday Homes….

Communication and honesty is crucial to succeed in achieving the best rentals for your holiday home. At Connect Rentals we have high standards to maintain for our guests so please be honest with your own assessment of your property.

1)      Please check that your holiday home meets our high standards criteria as set below before contacting Connect Rentals

2)      Next, we will discuss your property with you, the location, size and the price you are hoping to achieve.

3)      We require you either to email original photographs of your holiday home or email us a link where you are currently advertising your holiday home. ‘A Picture tells a thousand words’ – images are critical to selling your holiday home on the internet. There are literally thousands of holiday homes competing with each other. You have about 5 seconds to impress holidaymakers with the images of your property.

4)      Regular communication between your key holder (if not the owner) and Connect Rentals is essential to ensure we operate efficiently, so prior to agreeing to take on a property, we like to make contact with them to outline our terms.

Our reputation plus your rental income depends very much on us working in partnership to deliver a consistently high quality holiday home for your guests. We aim for every holiday taken with us to be hassle-free and memorable for all the right reasons. We endeavour to exceed expectations… and with the support of our homeowners, we frequently do!

1)      ESSENTIAL – the property MUST be thoroughly cleaned, aired and warm prior to your guests’ arrival. Your home must have central heating in the winter and air conditioning for the summer.

2)      Comfortable quality furnishings and fittings enhance any property and improve its letting potential, while finishing trimmings such as pictures and cushions make it look cared for and welcoming.

3)      Kitchen appliances – each holiday home must have a cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, modern TV with UK channels, DVD player and wi-fi.

4)      Extra facilities such as SKY, wii, x-box, PS2/3, selection of books, DVDs and CDs are all optional but beneficial to attract a wider client.

5)      Outside – if there is a garden / roof terrace or veranda then outdoor furniture must be provided including table / chairs for guests and BBQ (if suitable).

6)      Guests arriving in office hours are to be met by keyholder who would take them around the property and hand over the keys. We are happy to use ‘key safes’ if arrival is during the evening.

7)      Personal touches can add to the overall holiday experience – some of our current properties provide a ‘welcome pack’ free of charge for their visitors. If abroad, this can include basics for arrival.

A ‘Fact File’, although not essential is always appreciated. This should include information, instructions for using appliances and list of emergergency numbers.
