Murcia celebrates as Spain win World Cup

Residents and holidaymakers in Murcia celebrated in style last night after Spain's 1-0 victory over Holland in the final of the football World Cup in South Africa.

The crowd roared after Andreas Iniesta scored a dramatic first goal in the 116th minute of the game and supporters celebrated long into the night as Spain's dreams to win the coveted World Cup became a reality yesterday evening.

Captained by Iker Casillas and coach Vicente del Bosque, on the return leg to their home country the team will meet Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, the Spanish Priminister, before parading their glorious trophy around the streets of Spain's capital.

Spain's football stars proved they are truly the Campions del Mundo!
