Urgent appeal for Pakistan floods
Earlier this month in August 2010 the news was released about the disastrous floods hitting Pakistan, with millions of people affected throughout the Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces.
Annual monsoon rains have caused severe floods, submerging villages and severely limiting access to clean water and medical assistance, with over a thousand confirmed fatalities and 17 million people affected.
Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Chief Executive, Brendan Gormley, has said: “The money that is coming in is still urgently needed by our members who have already helped 800,000 people but are struggling to help many more.”
Connect Rentals is asking all holidaymakers as well and apartment and villa owners in Murcia to spare a thought for the millions of victims of this unprecedented flood, and to consider donating what you can. The DEC is receiving donations, simply log on to www.dec.org.uk to find out more.
