Mar Menor Golf Course now owned by Olagolf

Polaris World, along with four major banks, have finalised a deal which hands over control of key golf courses in Murcia to Madrid-based company Olagolf.
Polaris World, the developer responsible for building thousands of villas and apartments throughout the Costa Calida and putting Murcia firmly on the holiday rentals map, was in financial trouble until Bancaja, Banco de Valencia, Caja Mediterraneo (CAM) and Banco Popular bailed out the company.
Olagolf has taken over three major golf courses – Condado de Alhama (renamed Signature Golf Alhama), Mar Menor Golf Course (Mar Menor Village Golf) and Terrazas de la Torre Golf Course (Saurines de la Torre Golf). This will allow the courses to be kept at their continually high standard for the foreseeable future.
They should be in safe hands as Olagolf was founded by Spanish golfing legend José Maria Olázaba. Mar Menor Golf Resort, based in Murcia and home to hundreds of luxury villas with pools, apartments and the stunning 5 star Intercontinental Hotel, should now be in a more secure financial position.
No doubt this news comes as a relief to many Murcia villa owners that were concerned about the future of Mar menor Golf Resort and their property investments.
