Ryanair reduce Murcia flights

In a controversial move, the airline Ryanair has decreased their scheduled flights into San Javier Airport, Murcia. In effect from 31st October 2010, Ryanair will only run 2 of its previous 9 flights into Murcia. Murcia Regional Government has expressed disappointment over the Irish airline’s decision, allegedly upheld due to disagreements over tourism fund allocation.

This news may leave Murcia villa owners concerned, but talks are currently being held with alternative airlines that provide flights into Murcia to mitigate this loss of flights for the holiday rentals market. Many flights are still available direct to Alicante, as well as Murcia, so holidaymakers renting holiday villas will be able to travel into the area.
