Spanish airport strikes now called off

Holidaymakers that have booked Easter holiday rentals in Murcia, Spain, can relax after the AENA (the airport authority) and trade unions in Spain reached an initial deal, the strike by Spanish airport workers has now been called off.
22 days of industrial action was threatened by 12,500 airport staff which was due to begin in the run up to Easter. Stirke action would have caused hundreds of flight to be cancelled to and from Spain and could have also have effected flights from Portugal and Morocco that pass through Spanish air space.
An agreement was reached between AENA (the airport authority) and trade unions after 20 hours of talks.
