Latest news on Paramount Pictures theme park

The Mayor of Alhama de Murcia has given a statement “there is no going back for the Paramount Theme Park in Murcia” and he claims that there are already many investors lined up.
Proyectos Emblematicos Murcianos SA (PREMURSA) has also announced that the land designated for the Park will be purchased in February this year for 15.8 million euros. The land is located in Alhama de Murcia and is around 1.8 million square meters. 0.8 million is to be used for the park and the rest will be used for the Lifestyle centre, which will include bars, nightclubs, hotels, restaurants and a state of the art business centre.
The Paramount Pictures project was announced in October 2011 and requires an investment of 1 billion euros and will create 25,000 new jobs in the Murcia region. The park hopes to attract 3 million tourists annually from around the world plus the 3 million visitors from Spain.
The new international Corvera airport will be just 20 minutes from the theme park and internal road systems are already in place and a high speed rail network is in the planning stages.
