Notes on accommodation

Bedrooms: Each bedroom has been furnished to a very high standard. Top quality twin beds in each room can easily be converted into King size beds upon request. There are LCD satellite televisions in all bedrooms, and the master bedroom has independent satellite connection. All rooms have spacious wardrobes/ cupboards, air conditioning, central heating , and Egyptian cotton sheets.

Bathrooms: Both bathrooms are fully tiled and comprise showers. The en suite bathroom has a bath with shower over and glass shower screen. Towels are supplied. Guests will be required to bring their own beach towels for pool/beach use.

Kitchen: Electric cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher. 

Utility Room: Washing machine, iron and drying rack/area. 

Open Plan Living/ dining room: Light and contemporary furnished. Large chaiselongue sofa and dining table with 6 chairs. 42 inch LCD satellite TV with English channels. Patio doors extend the living area to incorporate terrace with patio furniture and sun loungers overlooking private pool. 

Other: No smoking is allowed under any circumstances inside the property. No pets are allowed. There is a DVD player and also a telephone allowing free internal calls within all Polaris resorts and accept incoming calls internationally. Internet access possible. 


Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: All linen and towels are included, apart from beach towels . A cleaning charge of 80 euros is payable and includes a pre and a post clean. Should you require a further change of linen an additional charge would be quoted.

Further details outdoors:
Fenced garden area with private outdoor swimming pool (can be heated for an additional cost). Outside shower, shaded and unshaded patio area, outdoor garden tables and chairs, and six sunbeds. There is a large private solarium on the upper level with table and chairs. 

24 hr security on site, La Torre is a 5 star resort with gated access. 

Wrist bands for communal pools and tennis courts: Please note, resort management have issued a wrist band per guest that must be worn to use the communal pools and tennis courts. If lost or misplaced a 30 Euro replacement fee will be implemented.

Resort details

The Polaris La Torre 5* Golf Resort is located in the Murcia Region making this an ideal all year round destination for holiday rentals. Located in the south-east of Spain, between Almeria and Alicante, the region boasts a perfect all year around climate with temperatures of around 22 degrees up to 310 days a year. The calm waters of the inland sea are a popular destination for all ages with the beautiful beaches of the Mar Menor lagoon overlooking the La Manga Strip which is packed full of bars, clubs and restaurants.

Murcia is home of the famous Mar Menor - Europe's largest salt water lagoon. The shallow water is 5c warmer than other beaches along the coast, making this a perfect haven for children and those seeking various types of water sports and activities e.g. swimming, sailing, water-skiing, wind surfing, etc.

Murcia, historical town of the region is less than 45 minutes away, with shopping malls, restaurants, cinemas, bowling etc. There is also a water park and zoo complex here. Aqualand water park at Torrvevieja is approx 50 mins drive or less via the AP7 motorway. Reached less than half an hour by car is the historic Port of Cartegena with an abundant of shops, bars and restaurants. Closer to home a 10 minute drive is the Dos Mares shopping mall which is located just north of San Javier on the N332.

Road links are excellent to all the nearby towns and cities and even Madrid is less than 4 hours by train. The region is a golfer’s paradise. There is a large selection of first rate courses to choose from in the surrounding area, with unlimited access to all three Polaris golf sites. A courtesy bus provided by Polaris links all three golf resorts individually designed by Jack Nicklaus at La Torre, Mar Menor and El Valle. Alternatively Mar Menor and El Valle Golf Resorts are within a 15 minute drive of La Torre.

Local area

La Torre Golf Resorts grand entrance is lined with palm trees, water features and benches. Throughout the resort there are lush plants and tropical trees that give the resort a true Mediterranean holiday feel. Facilities include luxury swimming pools, children's pools and jacuzzi areas. 18 hole Jack Nicklaus design golf course, tennis courts, bars, restaurants and supermarket selling international goods. On the resort is a 5 star Intercontinental Golf Resort Hotel & Spa. with 1st Class restaurant.

Located in the centre of the resort, The Clubhouse offers a library, golf shop and two bars 'The Wood House' and 'Pino's Bar La Torre', in addition to the Irish and Tapas bars. For those seeking something special then Encina restaurant provides a first class buffet (eat as much as you like!) currently 15 euros per person. The Clubhouse is open daily and also comprises a library and golf shop.

Travelling there

La Torre Golf Resort is a 15 minute drive from Murcia San Javier airport and 60 minutes from Alicante airport.. Both airports have excellent road links to the resort. Flights can be found with most budget airlines, Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair, Flybe, Aer Lingus, bmibaby.

NB. If driving from Alicante Airport there are two tolls between Alicante and Roldan on the AP7 motorway, 3 euros each from June-September inclusive, and outside of this period currently tolls are 1.70euros.

Car hire is available from both airports - Europcar bookings can be made in advance from UK.

Taxis are available from both airports, or a private transfer can be organised for an extra charge.

Murcia offers many wonderful golf apartments and villas with pools for summer holidays, so if you like to spend a few days in the sun by the pool and a day or so exploring the beautiful Costa Calida in Spain, here are a few ideas:

20 minutes' drive from the region’s capital Murcia City, which offers fantastic nightlife, shopping malls and restaurants. 20 minutes' drive from the beaches of the Mar Menor, Los Alcazares and San Javier, which also offer many tapas bars, restaurants, shops, banks and supermarkets. Approx. 40 mins drive from the famous La Manga Hotel and Golf Resort. Approx. 2 hours' drive to Andalucia’s Granada and the incredible Alhambra Palace. Approx. 3.5 hours' drive to Madrid. Approx. 45-50 minutes' drive to Alicante on the Costa Blanca, well know for it's popular waterparks and theme parks. A local shopping complex called 'Dos Mares' with an enormous supermarket, many restaurants and a cinema is 20-minute drive away. Approx. 30-40 mins drive to the historic port city of Cartagena and it’s superb shopping complex with cinema and food mall. 

Activities

Murcia is perfect for sports as well as golfing holidays and guests have access to the resort's 18-hole par 68 golf course, designed by Jack Nicklaus. There are many other courses in the area including Polaris World’s Mar Menor Golf Resort, El Valle Golf Resort, Mosa Trajectum Golf Resort, Torre Pacheco, La Finca and Las Ramblas. La Manga Golf Resort is also approx. 20 minutes' drive.

Booking notes

Strictly non smoking villa.

The villa is unsuitable for children under the age of 5 and parents must take full responsibility of their safety in the pool area.

Champagne and fruit basket can be arranged at an additional cost upon arrival.

Our resident English speaking Manager living adjacent to the villa can provide a welcome pack, freshly cooked meals upon arrival and throughout your stay should this be required. Menu and prices available upon request.

Golfing trips and bookings can be arranged by management to ensure smooth running and to maximise your holiday to suit your needs.

Excursions can be booked from the Clubhouse. There is a daily coach to the beach with various drop-offs provided by La Torre Golf Resort Management.

Security deposit

£250 security bond is payable at the time of booking, and will be refundable at the end of your stay subject to no damage found to the property after thorough inspection.

Full payment required eight weeks prior to your stay.

Notice of cancellation is required 5 weeks prior to first day of rental, otherwise the deposit is not refundable.
