Mar Menor Golf Resort is one of POLARIS WORLDS premier resorts with a 18 hole Jack Nicklaus Design course which will challenge all levels of golfers and lots of on site facilities, Spanish and Asian Restaurants, an Irish pub, bank and supermarket. All around the 5 star Inter Continental Hotel. Just off the resort (within walking distance you have the Mombasa Cafe Bar, La Tropical Tapas Restaurant, The Circus Disco Pub, La Parradella Italian Restaurant and the Arroceria en el Boulevard Spanish Restaurant and the newly opened La Perla Negra (The Black Pearl) theme bar all with reasonable prices. 

Local area

A warm welcome to the Costa Calida.

The Costa Calida is situated in the south-east of the Iberian Peninsula.To the north lies the Costa Blanca and to the south lies the Costa de Almeria with a total of 250 kilometres of coastline.

Blessed by the mild Mediterranean climate it has at least 315 days of sun per year. Minimum temperatures range between 12-14C and maximum temperatures between 20-22C in winter. Summer temperatures vary between 18-20C minimum and between 30-35Cmaximum. The average annual temperature is 18C.

The people are gentle and helpful, the whole region is well worth taking the time to explore and the good living is to be enjoyed. 

The seawater is warm and very pleasant for bathing. It is unique in that there is a peninsula which runs parallel to the coastline thus forming the Mar Menor (small sea).

Once you’ve chosen to rent an apartment or villa with pool, getting to Murcia is easy and you can normally book cheap flights to either Alicante Airport or Murcia Javier Airport via the following airlines, just make sure you book early!

Approx. 20 minutes' drive from the region’s capital Murcia City, which offers fantastic nightlife, shopping malls and restaurants.
5-10 minutes' drive from the beaches of the Mar Menor, Los Alcazares and San Javier, which also offer many tapas bars, restaurants, shops, banks and supermarkets. 
Approx. 30 mins drive from the famous La Manga Hotel and Golf Resort. Approx. 2 hours' drive to Andalucia’s Granada and the incredible Alhambra Palace. 
Approx. 3.5 hours' drive to Madrid. 
Approx. 50 minutes' drive to Alicante on the Costa Blanca, well know for it's popular waterparks and theme parks.
A local shopping complex called 'Dos Mares' with an enormous supermarket, many restaurants and a cinema is 10-minute drive away. 
Approx. 20-30 mins drive to the historic port city of Cartagena and it’s superb shopping complex with cinema and food mall.
