If you're looking forward to wining and dining in Murcia, you won't be disappointed. Warm summer evenings can be spent sharing great food with great company. Daydreams about relaxing in a private villa with swimming pool go hand-in-hand with a BBQ sizzling away, and a glass of wine simply must be accompanied by a platter of delicious treats.

Los Alcazares
The most popular place to go for local dining is the town of Los Alcazares, which has an entire area devoted to bars and restaurants. Restaurant Tropical is a Spanish restaurant offers great tapas and service, founded in 1836 it has a long history of wonderful cuisine. Encarnacion is located on the beach front in Los Alcazares, set in an old spa hotel with an inner courtyard, and offers delicious starters, mains and deserts.
Ramon's serves excellent Mediterranean dishes, including a choice of tapas starters to get your mouth watering. Ramon's is very popular with the local people in area. El Patio is a warm and welcoming Spanish restaurant that offers a unique dining experience. There is a choice of lamb, pork, chicken and fish, accompanied by garlic potatoes and a house wine. Alba is a Spanish bar serving traditional Spanish tapas.
The Hotel Balneario is highly recommended; the food and service is of a high quality, but it is quite pricey. Perhaps save an evening meal here as a treat for the family toward the end of your Murcia holiday rental. Roblemar at El Oasis is possibly the most exclusive restaurant in Los Alcazares so is also worth a visit for a treat, get great tapas, seafood and meat dishes here. Biancha Restaurant is very friendly and affordable, serving great pizzas and pork steaks.
Casa Penhalver is a traditional Spanish restaurant, ideal for a romantic dinner for two. If you fancy sampling Chinese dishes, there are a few excellent Chinese Restaurants in Los Alcazares, these include El Chino in Edificio Europa and Cocina Asiatica in the Balneario Plaza, but the one we particularly like is the Hong Kong, just past the El Arbol supermarket. If you fancy Italian, Angela's Pizzeria can be found just at the bottom of the Balneario Plaza; great value pizza and pasta here.
If you're homesick for some hearty English dishes, enjoy a meal at The Pasty Shack or Penny Farthing located on Balneario Plaza. A variety of homemade foods including a good selection of British favourites, including Chicken & Mushroom Pie, Fish & Chips and a variety of Roast Sunday lunches as well as a great range of sticky sweets and puddings await you. Becky´s Tea room offers quintessentially English delights such as cream teas and sandwiches.
Further afield
If you fancy heading out of town then travel a short distance to Cartagena, where you can sample the delights of Taperia Casa Tomas restaurant. Cabo de Palos offers two superb restaurants: Miramar and Restaurante Katy. These restaurants are extremely popular with the locals, especially on Sundays.
Close to La Torre Golf Resort, the small town of Roldan is a particularly popular area when it comes to eating out. Click Click is a cafe, bar and restaurant serving Italian dishes at very affordable prices, it's a big hit with the locals. Close by, the Spanish restaurant Verdioliva serves wonderful food, with a menu ‘del dia' (menu of the day). For English food and entertainment, visit La Batalla, also a child friendly restaurant. The Laundan offers tapas, bocadillos (Spanish sandwiches) and tostadas throughout the day, with a menu del Noche in the evenings.
Just outside of Roldan, you'll find an Indian restaurant called Jaipur Palace. Alambra Palace also serves Indian cuisine, with Bangra dancers as entertainment on Saturday evenings. The Wok serves recommended Chinese (buffet and restaurant) dishes, and for good pizza and entertainment head to Tipsy's Sports Bar.
