Preparing to rent
  • Stay in your home for a few weeks before renting to make sure that your guests will have everything they need.
  • Check all rooms, the garden and the pool for any problems which may occur. It is best to get these sorted as soon as possible to avoid them getting worse.
  • If you haven’t already introduce yourself to the neighbors and let them know that you intend to rent your property to holidaymakers. They may have advice if they rent out their own property.
  • Find out the rubbish collection day and make a note of it for your guests.
  • Make a list of emergency contacts and restock the first aid kit.
  • Keep a list of local restaurants and attractions.
  • Lock up any of your irreplaceable items as they be broken accidentally.
  • Get online, the more places you advertise, the more enquiries you will get.
