Murcia is one of the most promising property markets in the world

The Global Real Estate Index Report 2012 which was published by International Living magazine has named Murcia as one of the promising property market in the world. Murcia ranked at number 22 in a list of 27 regions selected as being the most attractive and potentially lucrative in world and was one of only three European destinations.
The report names Murcia as one of the leading examples from "depressed areas in Eurozone", with Murcia standing out for its afordability and easy market access. It also gained points for international investors, especially those looking for "hot spots" in the market.
According to the International Property Success website, there are several reasons to consider the Costa Calida/Murcia as an investment region. The prices have fallen 60% from 2007, and the 'stock' has a been rlreadyeduced by 50%, which will soon lead to an increase in prices.
Paramount pictures theme park that is due to be built in the Murcia has also had an effect on the property market and interest in the area. According to a study conducted in Dallas, holiday homes surrounding the theme park are likely to rise in value by 22 %. This effect has not yet been seen, however once construction starts the publicity and interest in the region will rise and hopefully so will the the interest of buyers, especially with the amount of cheap holiday rentals in the area.
"With regards to the prices of the La Torre properties there has been no real movement over the last 3 months and I do not envisage prices starting to increase due to the economic climate. The plus point is that there is a lot less properties for sale on the resort which is a good sign, there is nothing worse than seeing hundreds of FOR SALE signs it puts prospective buyers off buying." commented Paul Cherry, Director of Chersun.
